Sam
Community
Having been active in the community safety space for the past three years in a wholly voluntary capacity, Sam is committed to building a safer community for all local families across the City of South Perth.
In addition to supporting the CSC's subject matter experts and group admins, Sam is Chair of the City of South Perth's Community Safety Group, a member of several community-focused panels, the Outreach Coordinator for her son's charity, Lach's Socks, and a full-time ice hockey mom / wife.
Currently completing a Masters in Community Development (with undergraduate degrees in Politics and Education, and extensive experience in project management), Sam has the ideal skill set - and a dogged determination - to "make magic happen" in a street or playground near you!

Stuart
Security
Stuart has been involved in law enforcement and the security industry for close to 30 years. During this time, he has gained a wealth of industry knowledge and strong experience in Federal, State and Local Government.
Stuart obtained substantial experience and accredited training in policing as a law enforcement officer with Australia's premier law enforcement agency, the Australian Federal Police, gaining extensive experience in numerous operational areas.
Stuart has a passion for crime prevention and community safety, with a key focus on educating the community on personal safety, and the high importance of reporting crime and suspicious activities in a timely manner.

Talia
Criminology
Talia has a Bachelor of Legal Studies, majoring in Criminology and a Masters in Criminal Justice.
She has worked in the space of crime, offenders and criminal behaviour for most of her career and is known to be a problem solver thanks to her strong analytical skills!
She is particularly passionate about empowering people to be active participants in their community and to develop local solutions to local problems.
In her spare time, Talia enjoys sewing her next season's wardrobe and cooking for family and friends.

Zane
Urban Design
Zane has a Bachelor in Environmental Design and Masters in Architecture, but has been dedicated to a career in Urban Design for close to the last decade.
Zane hopes to provide guidance on Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, advocate for better design or planning outcomes, and make deputations to the council on relevant issues relating to his areas of expertise.
He will also support good neighbourly conduct, safer pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure, and seek to enhance the natural environment.
Already involved in a number of community-led initiatives, Zane is committed to creating safe, efficient, sustainable and well-considered communities through the principles of good urban design.

Josef
Community / Urban Design
A self-proclaimed urban design enthusiast, Josef has been an advocate for community-led and people-focussed design practices, and is currently undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Development Planning.
Josef’s interest in community-led safety began after living in Europe and experiencing how, through intuitive design and community programmes, neighbourhoods have put people and compassion at the heart of their communities with tremendous success.
A member of a number of local grass roots organisations, Josef is keen work to implement holistic, best-practice community safety and activation strategies to ensure people and environment are put first.
